The water level in the pump should always be checked, especially in hot weather. It will get noisy if the pump does not have enough water in the container. Normally, the water level should not be less than two inches from the tip of the basin.
Change the water every four to six months or more if you live in an area with extremely hard water. Anti-algae and anti-white scale water treatments should be added in the water to help prevent the growth of algae and prevent mineral deposits.
Also, you should have to clear your pump of debris. Simply unplug, remove and clean off all detachable parts. Clean it using any gentle household cleanser and a soft brush or cloth. Outdoor fountains are susceptible to falling debris such as leaves, twigs and the like. Hence, you should regularly check the presence of these objects inside the fountain in order not to clog the pump.
During winter it is highly advised to disassemble your fountain if possible before the winter starts and store it in a safe place such in your garage or shed. The water should not be left to freeze inside the fountain because it will be damaged.
We have to bear in mind that we had invested a significant amount of money for it hence; we should take good care of it.
